The easiest way to install a valid license file is to download the iTools self-installing program for the operating system of your choice. You need only to get the correct ".exe" file for your machine. Just download and make the"*.exe" file executable by executing chmod.  InternetCAD.com, Inc. will send you a license file after the proper paperwork was been signed. When the mail arrives, save the mail message to a file. We have assumed the name of this file is /home/itools/mail.pw in this example. Below, we will go step-by-step through the process of installing the license file for iTools.

There are two cases: 1) installing license file when iTools directory tree exists and 2) when it doesn't exist. We will show each case separately.

I. iTools directory tree exists

• This is the expected case if you used itools to obtain the machine information needed to generate a license file.

II. iTools directory tree doesn't exist

• This case occurs when you have deleted the iTools directory tree to install a new version.

• This case also occurs if you have deleted the iTools directory tree after obtaining a valid license.
